Waqar Akbar Cheema is the founder of ICRAA.org and its precursor letmeturnthetables.com. He was born and raised in Pakistan.  Waqar started letmeturntables.com as a personal blog in 2008 which is now a recognized source for Islamic rebuttals to lies and misleading missionary and orientalist propaganda.  As a keen student of tafsir and hadith sciences with handy knowledge of comparative religions he has produced numerous responses to issues not usually addressed by Muslim researchers. His writings are based on the works and methodology of classical Muslim scholars translated into modern idiom. He works as a freelance researcher and has authored over 250 articles. He has also co-authored a book Education & its Paradigms, published by Riphah International University, Islamabad.

Gabriel-Al-Romaani-ICRAA

Gabriel Keresztes Al Romaani, the co-founder of ICRAA.org, was born in Romania to a Christian family. He Migrated to Canada in 1998 where he undertook his secondary education. After studying Islam for some years, he converted in 2003. He is graduate of Mishkah University of North America where he completed his Bachelors in Islamic Studies. Earlier he graduated with a double major in Biology and Psychology and has also graduated from Faculty of Education in Canada. He studied Islam with various well known scholars and has been active in da’wah for 15 years. He has appeared on different TV shows such as Iqra TV, Huda TV, Sharjah TV and The Deen Show. He is the author of one book entitled Journal of A New Muslim, and many published articles. He delivers Friday Sermons in Dubai, is very active on Social Media explaining Islam to people, and coaching New Muslims. He worked as the General Director of Al-Resalah Schools, where he was blessed to meet numerous youth from different backgrounds with different problems. This allowed him to understand their issues, and helped him develop a framework in dealing with the challenges that millennials face. Earlier in his life he worked as a social worker for Family Respite Services in Windsor, as well as Islamic Social Welfare Association. He has been coaching and counseling youth and parents for the past 15 years, and has helped many return back to faith. He is a passionate educator, curriculum developer and cultural sensitive teacher.

Shadi Yasin was born in Jordan and spend most of his life seeking knowledge and teaching others about Islam.  He is a graduate of Madinah University where he completed a degree in Hadith.  He also graduated with a Masters degree in the same field from  International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).  He had the opportunity to study under many great scholars as well as students of great scholars of the past.  He has worked as the duaat supervisor in the Islamic Information Centre in Dubai and he is currently living in Jordan.  He has appeared on TV channels such as Huda TV and Sharjah TV, and enjoys teaching Arabic to non Arabs. At ICRAA.org he helps the authors with research and translations.
